So, I ride my fat bike to the trails – about 25 minutes on smooth trails and roads until I get to gnarly, New England singletrack.

Someone suggested I get one of those battery powered electric bike pumps. Pump the tires up for the ride to the trails, deflate to your desired trail pressure, and then re-inflate for the ride home. I've been looking at reviews for these pumps, but they all focus on road bike tires.

Is anyone using these for fat bike tires? I'm wondering how they work with the volume of fat bike tires.

This is one of the models I have in mind: https://www.cycplus.com/products/tiny-e-pump-for-bike-as2-pro

  1. I just ordered a rockbros myself yesterday, with no expectation of performance in the cold. I’ll probably just carry a mini manual pump if it doesn’t work out. Not like fatbiking is a high speed endeavor for me in the snow. ASIN B0DN688TN7

  2. I have the fumpa electric pump. The battery dies faster in the cold. Best to keep it inside next to your body (fanny pack or in your bra, lol).

I still carry both this and a manual pump.
