Context: For YouTube monetization, you need to have 4000+ hours of watch time in the last 12 months and 1000+ subscribers. He just barely hit 4000 hours a while back, but by the time he got 1k subscribers (1.01k currently) his watch time had fallen below 4000 hours over the last year.

It’s all filmed, and he’s been slowly releasing episodes. There are only a couple of episodes left, so probably too late. But I’m wondering if improving his titles and thumbnails could make a difference? He has a video editor, and the content is what it is at this point.

I’d be grateful for any advice/feedback.

  1. I’m not going to be any help with the algorithms but I just subscribed and will watch. I’m a sucker for these videos. Can’t wait to eventually do the ride myself.

  2. i have absolutely no evidence for this. but from a personal standpoint, i think one way to go is to comment on other videos! this is how i find small channels a lot of the time!
