  1. I was there as a 19 y/o Canadian in 1990! I remember nearly blacking out trying to hold Andy Bishop's wheel approaching that stop sign at the finish. He was a local 7-11 pro who rode the Tour the previous year. It was famous as the hardest group ride in the country even back then.

  2. Cool video. Looks like it's in the Tucson area, judging by the saguaro (or at least, it's in the Sonoma desert somewhere). Be nice to identify the area for viewers who are out-of-towners.

  3. What a fun and informative video. Loved seeing something other than the conventional triathlon content (not that I mind that, either). Also nice to see Ben, who is a class act and also so smart! And a great chat with the Mighty Quinn.

  4. Hey Sam big fan from Singapore.

It seems you could size up the Trek and slam that handlebar. How do you prefer your current setup with the stack of spacers?

I’m 1.82 thinking about sizing down but not sure about a full stack of spacers.

  5. Thanks for this video and description. Brought so many good memories from I used to live there and use the Shootout as race simulation training. Paul Thomas doesn't age and doesn't slow down!! Great to see that local legend on the video 🙌
