Hello,
I have a 2015 Brompton that has had very light use for its age and is in really good condition. I wondered where best to advertise, as tbh I don’t know much about them! My mum bought it with the intention of riding it, and never did. Then I used it for about a year for commuting to work.
What do you think?

I should add I’m in the NW (UK)
eBay and gumtree would be my choices.
For your sanity, sell locally (Facebook?) and meet up with potential buyers at a place that you’re familiar with and that’s relatively busy. An online sale might net you slightly more, but I would be wary of anything requiring long distance shipment.
I sold my Brompton about six months ago via Gumtree. I specified that it was collection only and payment via bank transfer. I also said no offers. I got the usual ” will you take £400 cash ” time wasters that I just immediately blocked. Had one person interested that messaged me but after an exchange it came to nothing. It did sell after a couple of weeks to a really nice guy. Again collection only and bank transfer before handing over the bike.
Facebook/Gumtree are good. Beware of scammers though – they’re rife on those platforms.
Generally the script is “my dad is interested in this, please email him on…”
They all lead to fake payment scams where they pretend to send you money but you need to upgrade to a business account or something and they ask you to send money back via another non-returnable method.
If you’re selling on those platforms be absolutely clear (big bold letters at the top of the description) that it’s in-person cash-in-hand only.
Also be aware of fake notes if someone pays cash. Take a legit 20 and 10 with you and compare them to any cash you’re given. People are making very good fakes, but they won’t stand up to side-by-side comparison.
