  1. Looks great to me! Judging by some of the parts I can see, it looks to be 10-15 years old, but also a dependable bike in every way. Given the brand I’m going to guess you’re UK based, so I would say £250-350. Bikes depreciate, but this one wins for being classic and dependable. Just make sure it fits your size.

    If you are only looking for a commuter and not looking to get into road cycling, I would recommend a Hybrid over this bike. A Hybrid will get you a lot more tire clearance (safer and more comfortable for city streets) and a more upright riding position, which makes carrying a backpack easier and the riding position more comfortable. This is not a bad bike, it would do the job, but I don’t think it’s the best solution
