So I have been working in a lab at my university for few months now and they had this bike that a previous grad student left, he got it over in Taiwan and he left it in the lab when he graduated so it’s been sitting in a closet for like 8 years. And I have been looking for a bike to ride around campus on, so what I want to know is if a good bike? I mean I got it for free so ig it doesn’t matter but I just want to know. Thank yall for your help

Looks perfectly fine unless you’re like super tall.
Saddle too high imo
I had a bike like this in Japan as a kid. It was great for folding up and carrying on the subway. It was not great for going down hill, that once I went too fast, front wheel wobbled, and I ended up over the front of the handlebars. For flat commutes and going from home to subway to school it’s fine. For cruising and enjoyment? Not really. Just gets you around faster than walking.
Ride the damn thing
It will be fine. If it’s not, what harm have you suffered?
Just ride it, and figure out for yourself if it works for you. If it does not work for you, then sell it, or leave it in the closet.
You might want to lube the chain.
And yall might want to enroll youyou in, like, English 101.
Had a citizen Tokyo. Worked for college worked for living in Japan these are easy to bring on the train or bus. Solid.

Clown college? Nah that bike looks fun as hell!
This is made by giant. Decent quality. Worth investing the cost of new tubes and tires

Looks fine just a bit ugly though
Are you a good person for college?
That thing is cute AF, go ride it.
damn I’m jealous. get on the damn bike instead of asking useless questions. choosy beggars, gifted horse and all that. also, go show it off at /r/foldingbikes right now!
Great bike for college. It says “Hey there I am super fun and down to f#ck”, but the lock says “I am responsible and pay my bills on time and won’t break your heart!”.
Definitely a good bike for riding around campus on.
Do the maintenance and ride!
I think using foldable bike with 20” wheels would be better as small wheels slow the bike down.
I tried putting a drop bar on my mini velo but it was too shifty because the wheelbase is too short. You should test ride it.
It certainly has momentum…
…I’ll see myself out.
