I was servicing my boy's 3 gear Shimano hub. These prawls(is that the right word) feel off and I put them back. Now it's making a bad noise even freewheeling. I disassembled again and I see that they are different. I tried changing them around but the particular prawl matched with red didn't fit very well. Is there a correct way to place them?

Did you put grease
Are the pawls sitting the right way around? The look like they need to face the other way.
In the last picture the little ring/festher that is holding the prawls in place is upside down.
And you really need to grease or rather oil the prawls which will probably help with getting rid of a lot of the noise
