Hey everyone, I’m looking at a used 2022 Trek Domane AL 3 Disc on Facebook Marketplace and was wondering if it’s worth the price. The seller is asking $1,200, and the bike has less than 500 miles on it. It has some upgrades from stock, and I’d love to get some feedback.

Bike Details:
• Make & Model: 2022 Trek Domane AL 3 Disc
• Frame Size: 54cm
• Condition: Very good, recently tuned up with a new bottom bracket
• Price: $1,200
• Upgrades from stock:
• Groupset: Shimano GRX 2×11 (Ultegra-equivalent for gravel/endurance)
• Crankset: FSA Gossamer
• Wheels: Fulcrum Rapid Red 900 (tubeless-ready)
• Seatpost: ZIPP Service Course SL Carbon
• Stem: ZIPP Speed Weaponry SL Sprint Carbon (120mm)
• Handlebars: Salsa Flared Drop

This would be my first endurance/gravel-capable bike, and I plan to use it for road riding with some light gravel. Is this a fair price for the upgrades, or should I try negotiating? Any red flags I should look for when checking it out?

Thanks!

  1. I think a new one with 105 runs about $1800, not a bad buy. Definitely go tubeless when you’re ready.
