The soldering looks terrible and the loop needs some work but a decent proof of concept will try again to get it abit more decent looking.

Great idea, but aren’t you worried such small amount of copper will be to soft?
Neat idea! You could also use stainless steel and 56% silver
Mine have an L shaped tab that is pop riveted to the top, I feel like that’s a decent option

they make metal clips too. have them on my fenders. my neighborhood shop even has spares because i broke one somehow.
