This side pocket is a complete mystery to me. I can’t find any info online for it.
It’s a separate pocket and the material is a plasticky mesh.
This jersey is the Peloton De Paris Sprinteur. But I’ve found pockets like this on other jerseys from other brands.

Well it is a pocket. You could maybe think about storing something inside it
Secret banana pocket! In all seriousness, whatever you want. Often for keys or cards that you don’t want falling out of your pockets.
I use it for keys, or other small, light things that I don’t need to access while riding and might bump out or get pulled out with the other stuff
Whatever you want! I normally put my ID / cc in there so I don’t have to worry about it falling out when I dig for food in other pockets. I’ve also put my key fob or a $20

For whatever you want. I’ve never used it myself.
I put my ID, bank card, health insurance card and blood type card in there. I don’t need to grab them on the go and I don’t want to lose them!
I guess this one is not waterproof? Some of them are, so you can put anything that shouldn’t get sweaty (money etc).
Reminds me I once had to pay for a mid right snack at a food truck with a soaking wet bill, didn’t feel good.

That’s for smaller sized personal items. Just make you zip it, so your items don’t fall out while riding.
I use it for my back door key. I feel so much safer knowing it’s tucked away inside a zipped pocket compared to just loose in my rear pocket.
