Hello, I am an entry level mountain bike rider. After riding my Cannondale Trail 5 hardtail for 4 years, I am looking to buy a new full suspension bike. I have been looking for mostly down-country bikes (Ibis Ripley, YT Izzo/Jeffsy) based on my skill level (I ride down hill slowly if bumpy, avoid steep downhills, mostly on local Green or easy Blue trails).
I just saw a new UK bike called Orange Stage 6 EVO PRO bike at my local bike shop, and it is on sale for $2K (MSRP $6K). It has 150mm/140mm travel, with Fox Performance 36 and Fox Float X Performance suspension, Shimano SLX drive train. It seems to be a nice deal but I am not sure if it will serve me well due my limited skill level at this time. Any comments or suggestions will be greatly appreciated!

Orange have been building a Foes Weasel ripoff for decades, there are much better bikes out there
If you like it buy it. New bike won’t make you a better rider but it wont make you worse either.

140/150 is a little too high for a “downcountry” bike. Downcountry is usually around 110-130mm.
On a side note, I really like the new tires I upgraded to my Cannondale Trail 5 just 2 weeks ago👍- Maxxis Minion DHF/DHR II. I gained a lot of confidence in my downhill riding, while not noticing any speed degradation. The width increase from 2.24 to 2.3” must also helped. This is the first upgrade to my hardtail and I am very happy about it. The stock tire was WTB Ranger Comp.
That bike is made to go down hill very fast but not the best climber. What kind of trails do you usually ride on?
