I’m so used to London slang but I’d definitely be more worried if a hooded gentleman explained to me that he “May have to draw my hunting knife 🔪 with efficient speed and stab you several times”…Such a statement would leave me bewildered and by the time I could process what is happening I may have lost my bike or even worse.
    Stay safe out there it’s truly a war zone.

    The only thing I’d contest is the use of the word ‘gentleman’. Unlike the US, we don’t automatically refer to every male as a ‘gentleman’…

    The UK default is to just call someone a ‘man’, unless he is a “true gentleman” (exceptionally kind/ polite/ generous/ highly respectful/ courteous.).
