I took a close look at my Gen1 (BMZ) and Gen2 batteries and battery frames yesterday and to my eyes anything with the current Gen2 design will work with the earlier battery (there is a place on the frame to accommodate the tab that protrudes from the rear of the v1 battery), but the reverse is not true.
The Brompton (US) product pages don’t mention the bag frames, and the large frame that is available for solo purchase is Gen1.
So unless I’m mistaken, I can’t use my previously purchased City and Basket bags, and there’s no telling if a bag purchased now will have a Gen2 frame.
Has anyone received a bag lately and can shed some light on this?
Am I missing some DIY trick?
Are riders with the Gen2 battery just going without?

1. please forgive my wrinkled blanket backdrop, I was in a rush
