Was watching Matt Jones new video and it was such a whiplash to see the awkward energy that kinda oozed through the video as more and more riders crashed out…

But still while riders assisted medical crew to get Ronan on a backboard, the tone is still light and supportive and fun.

Have to imagine it's a bit of a mindfuck to participate in an event like this.

26% of riders who put tires on track, ended up with a hospital visit. Reported by Pinkbike, so not sure if that includes anything such as an ankle sprain or not. But yeah…

It's incredible what these riders are capable of. On the mental side, basically. And to think Jacko came back to win it after losing an entire year of his career more or less to the same venue.

Built (mentally) different.

EDIT: just logged on to pinkbike and i dunno if this was planned but this is being talked about in general of injuries and i guess you could say the sustainability of the sport and/or effect on athletes https://www.pinkbike.com/news/opinion-miranda-miller-its-time-to-change-how-we-talk-about-injuries-in-mountain-biking.html
