  1. I have a free bottle from Tyler Hamilton. I don't use it. I preserve it for when cloning becomes viable, I will use the DNA from the bottle to clone him and then raise the child as my own.

  2. Maltodextrin is the greatest carb source on Earth from a value for money point of view. I will die on this hill.

I have that exact pump. But, how are you Brits finding Wiggle/CRC at the moment. We Aussies have to buy everything in Pounds now, so, I haven't bought anything from them since the "unpleasantness" and I really miss getting stuff from CRC….

  3. Ultra sport 3 FTW, it's better than most of the other brands best at a fraction of the price. My road tire hierarchy is various TT tires, GP 5000, GP Urban (a 35 that's actually a 32), then Ultra Sport 3.

  4. Great list. Although as a budget conscious daily rider, I eventually decided life is too short to not use a premium hand pump. Silca tattico is worth every penny and probably the only boujie (booshy?) thing in my kit.

  5. Great video. Always good to save a few pounds or pence here and there to take the sting out of the Β£5K bike purchase. I’m already onto most of these (except sweat bands – I have limits – towel for me). Also MyWoosh should go on this list (understand it may be conflicting) I just ditched my paid indoor training app subscription and started using this for free. I don’t race indoors, just follow structured workouts and plans in erg mode. This is perfect. However my laptop only just runs it so I probably need an upgrade so possibly not a great saving overall πŸ˜‚. Looking forward to the next installment 🀞

  6. The thumb nail of the maltodextrin got me to watch this video, but if you like squishy drink bottles then Syncros does a really great 1L one. I got a few for X-mas. I've needed to get used to how squishy they are, but at least now I only need 1 refill during a ride in our Western Australian summer (I go through about 1L/20-25km so a century is 4L of liquid (I also use a pinch of salt in each bottle, or a carb-electrolyte that comes in packaging that looks very similar to the maltodextrin in this video).

  7. Got to say, though, I've found those Elite Fly bottles to be pretty robust/long-lasting (and thus value for money), the texture they put on the outside of the latest ones mean they don't get roughed up so easy now too.
Tip: If hey get out of shape/squashed put them in the kitchen sink directly below the tap, fill the bottle with very hot almost boiling water from the kettle, then IMMEDIATELY turn the cold tap on and let it run until the water in the bottle is cold, works every time.
