I’ve had a couple of occasions of parts being taken off my bike when I leave it at the station (bars, stem, saddle, seat post etc) but while security bolts seemed to be a deterrent against amateur thieves, pro thieves would have the security torx keys etc so my dad got busy at his lathe and made these little stops to wedge into a few Allen head bolts. Granted, the position is now fixed until I drill them out but I’m hoping it’ll deter even a relatively well prepared thief. Got a couple more to pop in but hoping it’ll make the rig that little bit more secure when I’m not around. What are you security bodges that have worked for you?

I’ve heard people will drop ball bearings in wax or hot glue them into Allen head bolts, then if needed to work on a heat gun or lighter melts the wax/glue and a magnet to get out the ball bearing.
