  1. They could but I’m sure it would interrupt the fold. Last thing they want is a split cable by folding the bike šŸ˜‚

  2. The cable and brake hose routing is neat and already more than simple on the G line. It’s not interfering with the fold and doesn’t get caught while cycling. The aerodynamic gains of fully integrated cables on a bike like this are close to zero and negligible even on a high end road bike. It might look nicer but this is a utility bike, function and reliability come first.

As a bike mechanic and with over 20 years of experience in the bike industry I can tell you that it’s not necessary. Do you want to pay 2-3Ɨ the average price of a simple cable replacement? Do you hate your mechanic at your local bike shop? Have you tried replacing the hydraulic brake hose on a fully integrated system?

Why do you want cables routed through the frame? Is there a benefit to bike performance, or servicing?

I wish my road bike had external cable routing. It is a pain to to do maintanence on it.
