Hi everyone! I hope you are all well. Welcome to Episode 35 of my cycling adventures! In this video, I take you on a fun road cycling adventure with @ForestCyclingAdventures where we cross the iconic Severn Bridge to ride around some of the picturesque lanes of South Gloucestershire on my new gravel bike build.
Join us as we explore the beautiful landscape on and around the plains of the River Severn and Tom captures some beautiful shots with his camera along the way. I had a really fantastic time and was pleased to be out and about with Tom who unfortunately had a few issues on the day.
This episode will take you beyond my usual content in the Forest of Dean, showing you a fantastic route and the beauty of cycling in the area. As a female photographer and cyclist from the Forest of Dean, I’m excited to share this ride with you, featuring stunning views, and incredible scenery on this mostly flat route with one punchy mini climb.
As always, if you like this route, it is available on my Strava (linked below), dated 2nd February 2025.

Wouldn't have to worry about the battery 🔋, on a none battery 🔋 bike 😉
We've enjoyed the bridge, great view and a fantastic piece of engineering too 👍 Thanks for taking us along.
Hope you found the power meter door and battery.🤞🤞🤞
Lovely area. More rural than I thought.
Are you using a Go Pro? If so would you mind letting me know what type of microphone are you using? Another good video in my neck of the woods.
The bike looks fantastic, Hattie. What an achievement also having built it yourself. Now back to your plasma spider 😊🕷️
I crossed this bridge four times on a bike (twice in 1975 and twice in 1976) during my cycle touring/youth hosteling days as a teenager. Going towards Wales – on both occasions – my destination was the old Chepstow Youth Hostel which was an amazing place (an old Georgian manor) with great food and a fabulous view of the bridge.
