  1. Me personally, I’d take it to the mechanic. In my case my mechanic has so much experience there’s just no point in messing with something I have no clue about.

  2. Where’s the origin of the movement? Hard to diagnose just from this description and without a video

  3. Check the manual and see if you can reinstall it. It’s possible that either the mounting screw has come loose or the support plate (shown in the manual) that is adhered to the frame has come off allowing the derailleur to rotate more than expected.

    Canyon should have given you all the tools that you need to reinstall the FD including the paper gap tool for adjustment and a torque wrench.
