I’ve been a Forest supporter since 88/89. I saw them win two League Cups and reach the FA Cup Final as a kid, as well as finish top 3 three times and get into Europe. I’ve also seen them get relegated to League 1, throw away a 2-0 first leg advantage to lose to Yeovil 5-2 in the League One play-offs, and be on the wrong end of a 9-goal swing to drop out of the Championship play-off zone on the last game of the season. There’s been highs and lows and boring periods, investment, administration and points deduction, but I can honestly say on the basis of his performances this and last season that Ola Aina is one of the best players and best characters to have played for the club.
