Hey guys, as a title says I need to sell this mountain bike. My dad gave me. Gave it to me a couple years ago and said it was pretty high end and worth a couple thousand dollars. I don’t ride anymore and I could really use the money for college. Located in Florida, all help is greatly appreciated!

It was a very high end bike 10 years ago. If someone gave you 500$, you could be happy. It is not a bad bike though, it is definitely one of the cases where it is more worth riding it than selling it
It’s old, and likely a little worse for wear. Having said that I reckon $300-350 to the right person.
Likely best to sell it as parts, but that could leave you waiting ages to sell everything
Probably final price around 8-900 dollars, xtr shifting and xt brakes w/ck hubs are sick but the bike is probably almost 10 years old at this point

No one will appreciate or desire to have the value that is a Canfield then dudes wrenching on bikes or fans of work from Chris. I’d recommend hitting your local shop and just straight up offering the mechanics if they are interested in a old
Canfield. I personally know 2/3 dudes at my shop that would love to have this in their collection just cuz of what it is. Good luck.
Put air and fresh sealant in the tires. Put it in the stand remove wheels and spray down the frame with Dawn Power Wash. Wipe down the hubs and the rims, remove cob webs from spokes. Add some Tri-flo or other lube inside the cable housing.
Wipe off the frame.
Spray down the frame with Behold furniture polish. Wait 15 minutes.
Wipe down the frame, re-install the wheels, as $1000 be ready to let it go for $750
I wouldn’t let any of my friends buy it. maybe $200
even though it has some nice components i would guess maybe 300-500 and you might sit on the sale for a while. If you can afford to keep it that would be my suggestion! It could be tough to get something comparable again down the road at the same price point
This was a sick bike over 10 years ago, old geometry and very dated now.
I wouldn’t let any of my friends actually purchase this thing but if you find someone who doesn’t know much maybe 500$ and that’s being generous.
Any idea which gen or year Nimble 9 this is? To my knowledge Canfield hasnt made many major changes over the past few gens, but I’m not an expert. What i can say is I have been in the market for one since it fits the front range trails here in CO quite nicely for a hardtail.
Also what size do you have?
It would probably sell quick here in CO, but they are well known and based here. Not sure how many folks outside of CO know about them.
