This documentary series follows the community of Jaywick in Essex, where more than half of the residents are living on benefits. High levels of unemployment have turned the once-thriving seaside village into one of the most blighted areas in the country. Cameras capture images of the Brooklands estate, a part of Jaywick that is highly deprived. Episodes show local resident Carl being evicted, landlords inspecting damage to their properties, and a former armed robber from London’s East End living in a caravan that has heating problems.

Sadly as people get older reflection is par for the course
So many people caught up in the throws of alcohol or drug addiction don’t have the capacity to realise that their behaviour has far reaching consequences ie loosing their families etc
But as they grow older they then realise and hope that they can reunite but sadly it’s probably not going to happen in the majority of cases
The children/partners have different lives and probably have moved on
Boo is an inspiration She deserves all of the help that is available
Let’s hope that there is some financial help available as this project deserves everything that the council and community support agencies has to offer ❤
Disco can get off the Frosty Jack's, it tastes like dog muck anyway and isn't as hard as getting off spirits. Managed medical withdrawal is the proper way and then it's up to you to avoid it.
