New bike arrived, but it wasn't packaged properly for shipping and the front brake disc mangled the rear part of the fork. Do you think it look structural or will it be ok with a paintjob?
I got this bike on 34% discount and the shop is offering me 200€ (because it was already discounted) or to try and find a new fork. But with the new fork I will also need to pay someone to install the new fork, and I don't know if the brake cables will need to be disconnected as it has internal cabling, which will add to the cost I suppose.
What should I do, should I take the money or ask for more money or ask for a new fork? I would really appreciate any advice or direction as I don't have experience with this.

I’d dig into the cost of a replacement fork and go that route or return the bike and buy one from a local shop.
I’m sending that back and letting them know I’m extremely dissatisfied with the product and their proposed solutions. The photos and your experience can be made public if that’s how they want to treat this.
In my opinion, a full replacement PLUS some compensation for wasting your time is reasonable given this was 100% their packaging error.
Dude, you gotta replace this fork. Or bike for that matter.
Regarding the cost of installation, the shop should be covering that.
What is the full story here? What shop was this? What country is this? What bike is this?
Edit: Like, discount be damned. They sold you a new bike, you should get a new bike. That is how that works.

Doesn’t matter what the discount was. You still PAID your own money. What a shitshow of a packing job. If they care so little about packing it what else did they half-ass. Return it or this is going to be just the first of many headaches.
Regardless of what I think you should do, to answer your question: no this is not structural in any way. Check that the disc isn’t bent though – if it did this much damage to the frame there’s a good chance it’s got a bit of a warp in it.
If you go the route of a new fork, there’s a good chance it won’t be the right colour. Just be aware of that.
If the disc is bent, get the shop to replace it, no charge to you.
If you decide to keep this fork, there’s a good chance you could touch it up with clear coat or even clear nail polish. On the back of the fork, under the head tube, I bet you’d never notice it.
The fork doesn’t LOOK structurally damaged, but I’m just some dingus on the internet looking at pictures.
Regardless, that sucks and is unacceptable packaging for any bike, new or no. Was the shipment insured?
Oh hell no. You paid for a new bike, so the shop should be doing the appropriate work to provide you a new bike.
You got a discount but the damaged bike you received is not worth the discounted price, and the seller does not offer any assurance than they can get the right replacement part? This is really simple, demand a refund and buy somewhere else where you do get your money’s worth. Don’t make matters worse by gambling that the seller will make you whole.
For a brand new bike, I’d be pretty upset if it arrived like that. Takes the wind out of the sail for a NBD for sure.
But just looking at the picture, I’d have no structural concerns with regards to riding that bike. I think you’re leaning the same way and wondering at what cost (or discount/reimbursement) would that be considered worth accepting. This one is tough because of the psychological aspect/principle of the matter. If it were me, I’m not really sure to be honest, but as an outside observer, I think the price of a new fork would be fair, and the price of a fork swap would be even better.
