I never realized how good I was at climbing until a group ride – then I realized holding 8 mph up a 5-8% grade wasn't normal. Felt pretty cool passing Pinarellos on my 20 year old used bike.
It's so strange, my buddy is a winning sprinter at crits. He regularly podiums, but turns down rides w hills and on climbs drops way back. I dont get it, he has huge thigh muscles.. why can't these muscles push him up?

Is the finish line at the summit? Why the lead out?
The heavy guys are good at sprint an the light one are good for the hills

Climbers and sprinters, they both bring their specialities to the group
