I bought a Trek X Caliber 8 a month ago. At 2 weeks of use it developed this clicking sound. You can hear it when pedaling at high speeds in the 3 smallest gears, it’s a fast, somewhat faint, constant clicking, it stops when I drive slower or with less force on the pedal. It doesn’t always happen, but most of the time it does under these circumstances.

I did a small maintenance at Trek 2 days ago, they checked the whole transmission but as they didn’t hear the sound when I tried to replicate it at the store, they simply did the standard tweaks just in case.

I appreciate any help to identify the sound and tips on how to solve it, I’m getting kind of obsessed with it because I use the bike for commuting every day and don’t think I can take this annoying clicking much longer lol. Thanks.

If you are sure it comes from the hub, you could disassemble it and grease it, it sounds dry and “too” clean

    I might be wrong
