Apparently there are new bike models (correct me if I’m wrong).
I am already waiting for my [Pathlite:ON 6 SUV](https://www.canyon.com/en-de/electric-bikes/electric-touring-bikes/pathlite-on/pathlite-on-6-suv/3297.html?dwvar_3297_pv_rahmenfarbe=GN&dwvar_3297_pv_rahmengroesse=M), but there’s a new model called [Pathlite:ON 6 750 SUV](https://www.canyon.com/en-de/electric-bikes/electric-touring-bikes/pathlite-on/pathlite-on-6-750-suv/3487.html?dwvar_3487_pv_rahmenfarbe=GY), in gray and orange colors, that’s also cheaper (due to the sale) than the one I ordered.
So I have been thinking to cancel my order and place a new order for the newer one.
Here are (I think all) the differences between the older model and the new one:

It’s a place to open the frame so that a belt can be installed. Because belts can’t be broken, you have to open the frame up. Checking some of the other variants, there are a few with belts available.
This is not a new/old thing. Both of these bikes were launched at the same time. The “Old” one comes with a 625 Wh battery, while the “New” bike comes with a 750 Wh battery. Because the 750 Wh battery is way longer, the frame has to be different. While the 625 Wh battery is half integrated in the downtube the 750 Wh battery is inside the downtube and has to be taken out while the bike lies on the ground or is upside down. Also, the 750 Wh version is 3 KG heavier.

The “point of failure” is the way you take out/put in the belt on the belt driven 750 versions like the [Pathlite:ON 8 SUV](https://www.canyon.com/de-de/e-bikes/trekking-e-bikes/pathlite-on/pathlite-on-8-suv/3008.html?dwvar_3008_pv_rahmenfarbe=WH). Same as the Commuter.
