So for context: I’m moving to Utah, and am considering getting a Bomber 58 to switch back and forth onto my Megatower. I’ve got a 27.5 wheelset, and I’ll figure something out for the drivetrain. My biggest question is if I can run dual 27.5s front and rear and not have a ridiculously low bb height if I have an additional 30mm in the front, as well as having the flip chip in the high setting.

Another question is if it’s even worth buying a fork? The Zeb is pretty capable. The goal is to have something that I can have as a park rig, but also be able to switch it to trail mode.

Thanks!

Lowk unnecessary if you’re just going to free ride but if you want to go into downhill that’ll be a sweeet rig

I’d keep the zeb and build a separate rear wheelset to swap to for park days. While the current gearing would work, you could build a single speed for park days and slap this DT on for trail riding. Plus, you’d put less wear on the current DT by doing so… just a thought

Dual crowns seem to have more precise steering, and therefore more precise line choice through high speed rock gardens. That’s the big difference I noticed when I switched from my 180 Zeb to a clapped out boxxer. With a single crown you kinda just point in a general direction and hope, while a dual crown you can place that tire exactly where you want it. My Zeb does a better job at bump absorption than my boxxer, maybe due to the lack of buttercups or maybe cause it’s clapped. But the differences are very noticeable.
