  1. 9 months ot a year I’d say. That’s if you don’t ride brakeless and use your shoes to stop. Might wear quicker otherwise. Your experience may vary

  2. In my opinion vans don’t last all that long. I buy them a lot, but it’s mainly just a style shoe. I kind of feel like I’m gonna get a lot of hate for saying that. Sure do miss old school DC, Osiris, and Loteks

I agree with the first guy if you’re riding brakeless don’t ride vans but if you got brakes, and you don’t like high tops. Vans are the way to go.

  4. From my riding, vans don’t last very long. They usually break in very quickly and feel great when they last, but the rubber they use is much softer, so it wears out quite quickly, I go through a pair and a half maybe every riding season. I’ve been riding more Jordans/dunks SBs. The aj1 wears out faster compared to the sb dunks which have an much harder rubber compared to the other 2, which last longer, but slips on the pedals sometimes.

  5. I’ve good luck with Vans Rowen Pros and Gilbert Pros. Not a fan of SK8 HI’s or Old Skools, the quality isn’t great. I want to try out Half Cab Pros as they’ve a thick tongue. Check out their various pro models if you wish to stick with Vans, there are plenty overlooked. I often find them on sale hence why I continue to buy them.

Regarding wear, I haven’t tried any of the BMX-specific models. However, any given Pro model usually lasted me 6 months to a year when I was riding more frequently.

  6. I have these exact shoes. I’ve been riding and wearing them for a year. They’re still good. I wish I bought 2 pairs of these.
