Hello,

This is the crankset : http://www.insightbmx.com/products/cranksets/isis-crankset/

Pedal I cannot show because it's from aliexpress and links are prohibited. It's a regular aliexpress pedal

Strangely, they're aimed the wrong way.

I put the right side of the pedal with R written on it with the right arm. I manage to screw them on, but the unscrewing direction is such that if I pedal with my bike, the cranks unscrew.

That's not really seems secure in my opinion are these pedal/arm not "compatbible" ?

I double checked, R pedal is on R arm and L pedal is on L arm. thanks

Right pedals and crank arms have a right-hand thread (clockwise to install). Left pedals and crank arms have a left-hand thread (counter clockwise to install). Is this different than what you’re describing?

  2. If you were able to screw the L pedal into the L arm and the R pedal into the R arm, it is correct unless you put the arms on the wrong sides of the bicycle.

Use a pedal wrench and tighten them down.

  3. If the right side pedal went it to the right side arm smoothly, and the left side pedal went into the left side arm smoothly then they’re threaded correctly and you have things backwards in your head.

  4. I try to be more clear:

with this setup, when I pedal, the natural rotation helps could loosening the pedal

Just put some damn loctite before U strip off the threads. I normally put a drop on the threads never given me any problems.

  6. Yes, if its slightly loose and you have bad bearings the pedals will unscrew themselves.
As long as you have good bearings this isn’t an issue, and if you have bad bearings just fix that issue.
In any case the pedals should be tightened enough for this to not matter anyways…
