I built a fixed gear version of the rugged 26er I ride on most days. 27.5 wheels, aluminum frame from verde with lots of clearance and a burly steel fork, flipped a top load bmx stem to throw a nod to the classic track quill stem design language, surly sunrise bars, and paint matched it to my other bike with the same aesthetic.
Sort of a nod to the 2008-2014 FGFS style bikes before they really started to look like 26″ BMX bikes. Bit more FGFS than Tracklocross, with a touch of bikepacking/adventure aesthetics in there. Haha.
Just waiting on foot straps to come in the mail.
I started an instagram u/freshstartcycles if you’d like to follow my bicycle building adventures here in Portland, Oregon
