When I’m not being tortured by the bunker guy to make the 46th day of asking paradox for a stupidly overpowered Luxembourg DLC, I personally play HOI4 and be destroyed by Poland in my first game

Don’t play historical if you play as any one of germanys bordering countries other then Switzerland

I mean, I learned to play in Non-historical, just because I either had or didn't have the time to prepare for war with random nations, and that trained my playstyle a lot

I always love playing in non-historical because I’m Germany taking over the United Kingdom. WhileItaly is actually doing great in Africa
The real complete beginner guide for HOI4:
1) press the quit button and touch some grass
2) save your sanity

Hoi4 is one of my favorite paradox games. Despite ck2 being my first game , I'm glad we're getting an actual good tutorial 7-8 years later (sorry, old ingame tutorial, you won't be missed)
