Another vote for the 'wear a flipping helmet' recomendations! I never wore a helmet as a kid, but would never think of not wearing one now. A work colleague of mine started wearing a helmet after masses of nagging from the rest of the office and a week later someone opened a car door in front of him on his way home from work. He landed on his head and would almost certainly have died had he not had the lid on. If you need persuading then watch the first two minutes of this video from one of my favorite climbing Youtubers: https://youtu.be/s5ZLd-kCCRs?si=_6Ph9jKHHtg732Wy&t=36
Far right flag flying
i bought a six speed, my daughter very quickly bought a b75. her husband soon sold his mountain bike than bought a six speed. i can fit all three in my nissan leaf boot easily. ps i converted mine to electric love it. and they are surprisingly good off road. and for camping get a trailer. Radical chubby made for the Brompton.
Have 2 Brompton’s a C line and a CHPT3 v4, amazing bikes. About to bike pack from Kent to Somerset along the south coast on one.
You guys are making me want a Brompton so badly! 😂❤
Brompton delivers an "Insert" for the saddle which assures that the sadle high is the wanted each time! It needs a measuring (described in the Users Guide, but also shown by Hannah, from Brilliant Bikes in a film here!) the first time to be cut to length, inside the frame! But then no fidling! As a tall guy I just pull my seat post out to full stop!

I have been bike packing / train packing with Brompton's for 20 years. I live in Holland, Wild camping forbidden, but most campsites are within 20 km of a station. Brompton's (folded) are free in the train. In a normal weekend I can go out on Friday after work, hit a camping before sundown, and relax until Sunday… What I can take with me is almost ultra light, ca 10kg on the front bag, don't use anything on the back but still need a backpack.
25:08 see ya
Yes, I have been following Andrew @Nottinghamshiremadness for some time now. In fact, I bought my P Line after seeing he had bought one. At the time I had three others. It's Andrews fault that I now have four, and he will be to blame when I buy a 12 speed T Line!! 😆 I have to say, I had a test ride on one from Brompton Junction in New York, and they are incredible. Great vlog and just subscribed. Good luck with your future purchase. Mal.
Good, good video. From Cucuta city Colombia 🇨🇴 South America
I see the guy with a vincita bag. They have a whole system of bags that you can consider to fully utilize the bike
Great video I'm feeling rather guilty because I got myself a Brompton A line but yet to take it out because I have 3 bikes
Should have worn your helmet 🪖 😂😂😂😂
I rode with a fellow Brit (he was riding a Brommie) on Paris-Brest-Paris 1200km in 2015. OK, he said he'd never do it again, but he still managed approx 800 miles in 4 days.
I quit after about 800km, and I was riding a carbon Road bike. (I did make it round in 2011 I hasten to add).
Bromptons defy expectations and logic (I am also a Brompton owner, M3. I love it but I'm never doing PBP1200km on it. I bought the fabulous electric Swytch kit for it)
Get one. You’ll love it. I have three.
Dont worry about not having a helmet Paul Gramps wearing Flip Flops 🤣🤣💪
Great vid dude nice to see a good bike vid !
British flag is a red flag
Saint George flag is a bigger red flag
I love my Brompton 😊
I would think I'd have to sacrifice comfort for foldable and lightweight 😢
What is the channel that your friend has? I’d like to see it he seemed to reference during the ride that he posts some maintenance videos. I’d like to take a peek at?
Look forward to seeing your camping info later, do you want to do some camping on my new Brompton someday next year and look forward to seeing what you advise.
Where's your helmets. That's….dangerous…!😢
Love Nottinghamshire madness and love my Brompton
Best product I ever owned
Sorry to be an arse, but always wear a helmet. It literally saved my mate’s life. Keep up the good work Paul & co 👍
The front bag makes the Brompton more stable. I climbed Whistler in BC on my Brompton C line. I am now intrigued in buying the T line. Thanks for the video.
G line is the one you want 😅
Well, it's too late. I've bought one already… C line 6 speed. Love this thing.
If it's any consolation, your odds of dying of a head injury were roughly the same on your drive to meet the guy as they were cycling around without a helmet. Sadly whenever the topic comes up there's always a flood of anecdotes from people who swear they'd have died without theirs, encouraging this view that cycling is dangerous even though it's not and has never been safer.
I absolutely LOVE men like this.
All the macho * in America gets so exhausting.
Bike people are the coolest♡
Great video. I have 4 conventional bikes ( all have different a frame material) but going on trains is a pain and you can’t take a bike on the bus, as you know. I love the design and practicality of the Brompton. The only nightmare I can foresee from other videos is the rear tyre puncture. The process to change the wheel seems like the ultimate nightmare especially on the fly, on a cold wet day. Has this been an issue?
Great video. I’ll be a Brompton Owner this coming Monday.
Looks like a lovely neighbourhood to ride round
I have 3 bromptons – A 2016 winter hack, a 2020 6 speed with rack for general commuting, and my all black for sunny days out. 🙂
It’s more of an urban commuter than a road bike or mtb. It’s steel frame, upright seating position. It’s sort of a cult following like the rear engine vw beetle. I think the performance of bromptons is a bit overrated. If I can ride a road bike up to 50 miles, I probably can ride the brompton 40 miles before exhaustion. I got a 3 speed, and steep up hill climbs are not going to work with the brompton, compared to mtb. Again, don’t expect brompton to be a road bike or mtb, watching reviews before buying one I thought it was. I got a coupe (Honda prelude) and it can’t fit a road bike in the back without removing both wheels. The brompton folds easily in the trunk with space to spare.
The appeal of the brompton is the practicality(while it’s no road bike, it’s 75 percent of the way capable) , great quality (hand made, steel with bulletproof components), and the sub culture (the history, prestige it’s over priced compared to all other folding bikes, and community worldwide).
I went to London to buy a used one, not that I couldn’t find used bromptons here but they’re much cheaper and more abundant in uk. I thought 1 brompton can meet my cycling needs, while I love my brompton, no I still need a road bike and mtb.
Most of the world ride bicycles without wearing a helmet. Most of the research is proven that the helmet wearing countries have more head injuries than those countries who do not wear helmets reason mean in my mind is that people think that they are invincible because they are wearing a helmet. They do not ride defensively, or they ride above their own abilities.
I ride my Brompton for comfort. Comfort with without having to wear shoes. Sandals are cool. I wear a comfortable cotton wide brimmed hat. Wearing padded fingerless gloves protect my hands from the jarring of the handlebars.
