Well it is a freewheel, not a cassette. And yes, you should replace it.
If you’re barely gonna put miles on it – clean it, re-lubricate it, and ride it. It should be fine.

Then meh. Still sounds good. Scrub off what you can and use white vinegar if you really care about the look, or rust converter if you already have one. Don’t let anything seep into the bearings.
