Hi there,
I'm planning a cycling trip in Colombia, leaving in a couple weeks, following this route: Colombia Bikepacking – BT 700 BIKEPACKING
My family has been urging me to cancel, due to travel advisories. I speak Spanish quite well, and don't intend to drink/party at all while there.
Can anyone provide insight on real travel risk while there? Are there any parts of the route I should be particularly concerned about?
Thanks!

For context, I’m a 6’2″ white male. I spent six weeks bikepackinh in Colombia back in 2017 and had no issues. People were very friendly and there was only one occasion I got bad vibes from some people, but nothing happened.
Of course, things might have changed since then. I know lots of people who have traveled to Colombia recently and had a great time, though they werent traveling by bike. If you avoid sketchy areas in big cities and stay away from the Venezuelan border and Darien Gap, you should be fine.
