Hello, I just got this new carbon bike and was taking a look at a few spots around the frame. Around the headset – as you can see highlighted in the first photo – on one side there is a slight opening where you can see inside while the other side sits flush on the frame. Could this cause any issues with dirt entering on that side?
In the last photo I also took a pic with the space between fork and headtube, i guess that space is acceptable?
Lastly, there’s a small paint chip near the rear brake caliper, could this cause any issues in the future?
I also included a pic of the bike in case anyone was curious which bike it is.

Given that it’s a Decathlon bike I think you’re getting the build quality you paid for. Cover the paint chip with clear nail polish if you’re worried about it, and make sure to check the headset for play. It may be worthwhile to redo the headset preload yourself, but if you don’t know how to do that there’s a good chance you won’t make it better. Just make sure there’s no play in the headset or fork before you ride.

The head tube part obviously isn’t perfect but I wouldn’t worry about it. Head tube to fork looks fine as well.
3rd Pic though, that looks poor. Maybe it’s fine structurally but it almost looks like a mix of a repair and poor paint job.

Caliper looks like the result of a clumsy install, but that headtube not being faced properly is crap.
