Hi folks, I’ve had these Black Sheep Cycling bib shorts for around 1.5 years and probably have somewhere around 1k to 1.5k miles of riding in them. They have only been handwashed and hung dry, never been in the washer or dryer. The fabrics on the thighs started breaking down recently.
Is this normal? If not, how does one prevent this from happening? I’m not even sure if I should reach out for Black Sheep Cycling, since this would probably fall under wear and tear.
Thanks in advance!

I don’t have Black Sheep bibs, but have many other brands that are that old and they aren’t doing that.
Marketing is everything
How often are you wearing them?
Had this happen on a couple bibs from different brands – be careful when washing them some laundry products leave a residue in the machine and will impact technical clothing in following wash (bio detergents and bleach are lycra killer).
Have only used non bio products and bibs are holding up great now
Not normal based on my experience
