  1. Love this. Was there a few weeks ago (port stop on a cruise… sorry, local Spaniards). I hadn't heard of Malaga before and was impressed by all the bike lanes and cyclists everywhere

  2. Nice place. I was wondering about the use of English language in the shop. I can understand an English speaker would be using his mother tongue, but what about the signs on the wall? Wouldn't it be prudent to have them in Spanish? I'm confused.

  3. Malaga is a gorgeous city. I hope you get to see some of the sights. Check out the less race-oriented bike shop/cafe Recyclo not far from that shop. Nice coffee, food, and they are a Brompton dealer.

  4. Russ, can’t believe you’re in our neck of the woods! I’m from hood river OR and we moved to Competa Spain a few years ago. If you want a tour of some of the best gravel riding from white village to white village please come by! We have a place for you guys to stay, bicycles if you didn’t bring yours and we might even feed you!

Seriously it’s really hard to beat the paths around here…I’d love to share it with an ex-Orgonian.

  5. Being a winter bike commuter, that stainless indoor bike washing station looks so nice (if that's what it is?). I can't wash the road salt off because the water freezes to the frame. Sigh.

  6. Malaga and other south Spain areas may be superior than Girona IN WINTER due to their weather and temperature. BUT in summer they are unrideable because very hot temperatures make riding dangerous. With temperatures around 40 Celsius or more every day

  7. One of the most remarkable achievements of ESC is the strong sense of community it fosters among cyclists. People don't just come for a single trip; they keep returning. Over time, they develop a genuine feeling of belonging to a community. This sense of belonging is not just about the rides themselves, but also about the connections and friendships that form. Cyclists share their experiences, support each other, and often find themselves looking forward to the next adventure together. It's this camaraderie that makes ESC more than just a place to buy cycling gear—it's a place to belong. 😊

  8. Great video, have been in Girona and rented from ESC over a dozen times and met Chris there, looking forward to getting down to Malaga at the end of this year for the first time 🚴‍♂️🚴‍♂️
