This looks fine but whether you should tighten the headset or not is not visible in this photo. If you feel any play, then you should tighten.

is ok. In mine you can also just put your nail in between. You can maybe just wipe of the excess grease, too much grease also attracts dirt.

Looks fine. You may be able to push the boot down a bit with your fingers. I’d leave the grease as-is – helps repel potential water ingress. Saw a video of some English bike mechanic saying that whenever he does headset maintenance, he applies more grease to the upper bearing and sparingly to the lower one for that reason.
