I did it the other way around, though not starting in Venice and it was magical. I recognice that camp ground, with the train tracks directly next to it.

Traveled there as well. Original inspiration was to do the Munich to Venice bike route, but ultimately it wasn’t a bike tour. Still managed to take an afternoon to ride the bike trail from Dobaccio to Lienz, Austria. Beautiful 30 mile route at the feet of the alps.
