9th and LAST day Cycling from Coimbra to Algarve…I Made It!!!
There were still a looot of Kms and uphills to go through today, but, hey, after the last 8 days, I knew I could handle it.
This trip happened 7 months ago, but it’s still very present in my mind…it was very important for me. I understood I was capable of much more than I thought. That I can cycle with heavy rain, with burning sun, big elevations and hundreds of Kilometers…as long as I put my mind into it, I can do it!
And it shifted my idea of travelling really is for me. “It’s about the journey, not the destination” is a cliché I always believed, but that now is pretty much my moto.
And about the next trip…I’ll announce it in 1 month eheh
About the bike trip cycling across Portugal (you can find the other vlogs here – https://youtu.be/oiGTKi62lqw):
This is something I wanted to do for a long time after meeting a lot of bike packers. I travel a lot myself, but usually by bus or hitchhiking, so I wanted to experience the freedom of bike travelling and to get to know my country better. Going from Coimbra (center Portugal) to Algarve (South) can be done in only 450km, but because I had a lot of things I wanted to visit, my plan added up to 700km.
Throughout this series, I want to share all the adventures, the struggles, the beautiful beaches and the things I learned.
Stick for the ride!
