GRX 810 derailleur clutch broke

So the clutch on my GRX 810 derailleur no longer works (likely due to user error) at preventing "chain bounce" (see this video from when it did work) so my questions for the subreddit are:

1. Is/could there be an easier fix than having to replace the whole derailleur (I'm a bit tight for cash right now)?

2. Does it really matter? I can def feel the chain "bouncing" when pushing hard on the pedals.
