    Has anyone ever got a new frame from Scott for a bike that’s out of warranty? If so how much was it and will they give you any money off a new bike? How long did it take?

      Looks to me like that is damage caused by you. Like something hard, prob rocks, hit the tube and the paint cracked off. I would be very surprised if Scott or anyone warrantied this, especially out of warranty… Best case scenario they offer your a crash replacement which is generally 40%ish off a replacement frame.

      Are you registered as the original owner? If you’re lucky, the local Scott rep may offer you a frame on the cheap as a crash replacement. A carbon frame outright on its own is typically around 6K CAD but that’s because they only sell the nicest carbon as a frame set.

      Look into it asap though as that model is the previous generation and they may not have many/any left. We’re 2/3 years on into the new gen. If they can’t do anything for you, then I guess it’s NBD!

      Something I see posted here often is that carbon is super repairable and that’s one of the upsides of sinking lots of money into a carbon frame.

      For damage like this, I’ve seen figures like $300-600 for repair posted in here. If you search this sub you’ll find plenty of cracked carbon frame posts. So if that’s cheaper than a replacement frame, it might be worth considering.

      I don’t have much experience with this personally except anecdotally: I ride with a guy who rides a repaired Santa Cruz frame that he got from a friend. His friend warrantied the frame but SC didn’t ask for the old one back. So he took it to a carbon fibre repair shop and now it has a big ugly black chunk in the down tube but it still rips. He’s not a little guy either, but he’s confident in the strength of the repaired frame nonetheless.
