  1. Okay… well… no, I think I'll keep pushing the limits of my 22 year old Bropton. I like how it fires small bits of gravel with a resounding "päng".

  2. This is a shallow comment, but the reason I like it most is that I think it looks amazing, in addition to being practical. I 100% appreciate the offer of the original Bromptons, and that their practicality and small folded size comes from their wheel size, but they just look… it's too much for me. I can't be the only one. I think this will open Bromptons up to a broader appeal.

  3. As a mountain biker I'm more interested in this so I can cut through on off road paths and the big bike feel. I've never ridden or owned one so maybe I'll be their new audience of buyer.

  4. Os habéis quedado cortos, creo que deberíais haberla sacado de 26", la diferencia de rueda y peso sería minima respecto de la de 20", no así el uso en todo terreno . Es la humilde opinión de un usuario desde hace más de diez años. Saludos

  5. I love my regular Brompton which I have had for about 8 years now. I love in the peak district and it gets some hammer up the hills as you can imagine on my commute from Buxton to Matlock. It is my favourite bike I own as I just find it a joy to ride and I don't feel like I have anything to prove on it. However, one bug bear of mine is the rear triangle hinge which needs replacing frequently. I have asked father Christmas this year to buy me the quite expensive reaming tool so I can do it myself. This is also because with living in the sticks my nearest Brompton dealership is quite some distance away. My LBS won't touch this with a barge pole. I was wondering wether or not Brompton have reconsidered this aspect of their design within the G Line range. It is my opinion, that there is room for making this either more robust or easily serviceable if they haven't considered it?

  6. Kinetics and riders have done amazing things with this bicycle customising them for more rough terrain now you can buy a Brompton already done for you but already the YouTube Warriors are moaning about the frame shape but forgetting it’s for a technical build reason to make it stronger off road or like you said STANDING UP IN THE SADDLE GREAT POINT THAT IS only so much you can do they have pulled it off now you have a choice of bikes off road or more off road brill .Be great with an electric kit on it .

  7. For me, it solves an interesting problem.

My daily commute to my workshop is over 6km of gravel and occasionally muddy sections. It's mostly solved by a fat, long-tailed cargo bike. But the challenges of getting it in and out of the apartment make it less desirable to make trips in the city. So I wanted a C-line.

But if I had a G-line, it could solve the commute (when I don't need the cargo capacity) while still being useful for Brompton things in the city. While still being small enough to stow in friends' cars.

It'll take more time to save up my shekels, but I think the G will be my first brompton. I can always get "second Brompton" later.😅

  8. I have read about Rohloff's (a Scottish firm) modifications and conversions… fitting 18" wheels to a standard Brompton without affecting the folding appeals to me.

  9. I've been riding a Brompton for work for years and it fulfils its purpose perfectly. I also tested the G-Line a month ago and I have to say that at 14kg and a price of €3,000, it's a bit of a pushover compared to other folding bikes, which are actually coming back into focus now aka Riese & Müller Birdy €2,800 and full-suspension, Pacific Reach GT €3,500 full suspension (could be converted from 406 to smaller 20-inch and then 45 tyres) with 9.7kg!!!! Or the Tyrell IVE with 18 inch and 50mm tyre width for approx. 2,000€. I have also cycled with the large Borroughs bag and have to say that it is simply not suitable for bikepacking. The monster weighs over 2kg !!!!! and when fully packed it starts to wobble on the dock, which makes riding quite annoying. Good for the city, rather bad for gravel and travelling. If they wanted to develop a bike for gravel, they should have talked to bike packing experts beforehand.
