The front drum brake on my ‘76 Worksman tandem has very little stopping power.
I have replaced the cable and housing. Adjusted the cable to just barely clear of pad/drum interference. Pads look new. I used a parts bin brake handle.
Is that just how drum brakes are? Am I missing something? Tell me your thoughts on this.

Dude if that rust is as bad as it looks from here that bike isn’t going to hold two people anymore.
