I saved an old frame from the trash, I put drops on a bike intended for flats, I spent enough money on parts to purchase 2 new bikes, and I did a 650b conversion. My X-biking bucket list is complete.

I spent the last few months doing some updates to my 1986 Lotus Explorer.
-added a new stem
-put on my old bars
-new housing and cables
-new chain and chainring
-Added Tektro 720 cantis
-Tried out a 650b conversion w/ 40mm Speed Kings
-Switched to an unbranded seatpost
-Added a bell

The temperature finally got to the high 20s today, so I was able to get out and test everything. It is way more comfortable and the new brakes make me feel a lot better. I'm on the fence with the new wheelset. I might switch back to the 26" by spring.
