In 2023 we embarked on an epic cycling journey across the Pyrenees. Over 800 kilometres and 24 iconic climbs await us as we ride from the Atlantic Ocean to the Mediterranean Sea.
In this episode, we face an intense start to the journey:
🚴♂️ Battling through a torrential thunderstorm just 20 km from home.
🚴♀️ Conquering our first climbs in the stunning Basque Country.
💪 Pushing through the toughest climb of the trip—the Col de Marie Blanque— which tested our limits like no other.
🏔️ Ending on a high with the magnificent ascent of the Col d’Aubisque, a true highlight of the Raid Pyrenees route.
We hope this gives you a real insight into what it is like to go cycle touring in the Pyrenees — unpredictable weather, relentless climbs, and breathtaking scenery. If you are dreaming of your next adventure, our 3 part series will inspire you to tackle your own epic ride.
🎥 Don’t forget to like, subscribe, and stay tuned for Part 2, where we continue the journey and take on legendary climbs like the Col du Tourmalet, Col d’Aspin and the Col de Peyresourde as make our way across the Pyrenees Mountains crossing over from the Hautes Pyrenees into the Ariege region.

Hands down best thing I've ever done on a bike. The Pyrenees have my heart – the Marie Blanque possibly still has remnants of my soul in those final 4kms!
Yeeeehaaa, finally! We waited for so long to see your pictures from the trip. It also comes with a lot of memories from our journey. Love to see this. Great! 😍🤩
Awesome to see these places through your adventures Bella and Steve. Looking forward to part 2
