    In our 116th video, we kick start our ‘Worst Places to Live in the UK’ series by visiting Portsmouth, located in Hampshire on the south coast. The majority of people hate the city, we find lots of random rubbish littered around and speak to a friendly subscriber before buying a homeless chap a hot chocolate.

      Portsmouth is probably the worst place to live on the south coast, but Southampton isnt far away! It also has the dubious honour of having had a Lord Mayor who on his days off was a serial child abuser.

      Everything is homogenised…chain stores…which are now going into administration…have imprinted on every town until there is NO " uniqueness " it is truly HORRIBLE!!

      Portsmouth is a great place but the town centre is run down due to stupid council policies like rates too high and over charging for parking. Continually blocking off roads and charging for sea front parking are other negatives down to the council. Also too many HMOs, yet another council failure. Thankfully only one migrant hotel that i know of.

      I've lived in Portsmouth since 1982, Hayling before that until I was 10 years old. Portsmouth is definitely not the worst, but now I live in the suburbs, off of Portsea Island, I hate going into town 😥 It does have alot of history and interesting places though with the dockyard etc 😊

      go into summer town hub.. interview John wrong.. John right.. and council office ask for Karen say you know me chief PA… im up Milton end now.. did B and B, Tipton, edegbaston make sure get art work down there, and high field so you want. up by Asda.. and rest leads to fraction and Portsmouth football club.. yes know your other side.. but anyway…. Milton park bransbury park… sea front.. its the town city.. and you really need when its school drop off and pick up time or its dead..

      If I know you were in Portsmouth I would have come down, as Portsmouth is not as bad as you think, I love Portsmouth we have the seafront and arcades, the dockyard, historical places, gunwharf and many more places, us locals take it for granted, there is good and bad places everywhere

      Born and bred here (42 years). Definitely been going down the shitter for years now, but far from the worst. I predict it will get worse though.

      Have been to Portsmouth & Gosport on a couple of occasions! & have also met & befriended people from those areas in the Town i live in. The somewhat indifferent reputation of Portsmouth in particular is 'unfair' in my view! Have just subscribed to your channel, & look Forward to further content!😊

      If you don't like Portsmouth, don't live here. It's this mindset that runs it down. So many nice places to visit. Seems you were purposely looking for negatives. I have lived here for 25 years, some really good memories and lots of good people.
