Little three day project i did with my girlfriend. I bought this bike off my coworker for 100 bucks. The drive train and the frame were in really good condition. It had old grippies and cantilever brakes with not much stopping power on steep hills.
I swapped out the bars for some that were slightly wider. Put new lock on grips as well as new levers and trigger shifters. I also swapped out all the old cables and housing for some fresh ones.
I also put some salmon koolstop pads onto the new v brakes, i need good stopping power for the San Francisco hills lolll.
Test rode it and everything works perfectly and feels great. (Yes i did put a end cap on the front brake cable)

Its a really clean build on a gorgeous frame. I’d say you nailed it and you’re 99% there…. now rotate those QR levers to the correct 10 – 2 positions! haha.
BTW, I lived in the sunset for many many many years…. is that Kirkham?
This is too clean 👏🏻
That front brake cable would still give me hella OCD
Solid build, I like it a lot
