BBC TV documentary:
Wrexham AFC are one of the oldest football clubs in the world, with a home in the Racecourse Ground that dates back virtually to the dawn of football as we know it. Theirs is a history that stretches back further than most, with drama and memorable moments to rival any club.
A lot happened at Wrexham before they were taken over by two Hollywood actors. Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney have put a shot in the arm of a sleeping giant. To the fans, promotion is more than just cause for celebration.
This documentary tells the story of Wrexham, past and present, with a blend of archive footage, heartwarming testimonials and footage from the Racecourse Ground today.

Thank you so much for posting this! Really informative. COYR!
Omg I started to cry at the end, I will never forget that Notts game! I was studying for my 1st semester Nursing School finals (I graduated this past December), I was crying then too
The first Notts goal, how it left the entire stadium as quiet as a church, then Mullins goal that would give us the victory, how it was raining. Of course the Foster penalty, it had me begging for mercy, I just wanted the ref to blow that freaking whistle, but no!!!! There was a corner kick. I felt like I just couldn’t bare it anymore
I watched the pitch invasion, Ryan and Rob celebrating, Mullin commanding the entire crowd on the pitch. I stayed online all day searching for snippets of the ongoing celebration, Ryan coming in for Foster shirt during a press conference,
Foster, “are you going to put that on eBay?”
Ryan,” listen, we (Hollywood actors) fall on hard times”
I couldn’t believe what a match that was. It felt like someone had removed my adrenal glands, sucked them dry, left them out in the Sahara for a year and placed them back in. I was exhausted, I have ruck marched 12 miles with +45lbs on my back plus kit, and after this match I felt more exhausted than that.
I love this club!!!!! Up the Town!!!!!!
