I'm looking into taking a bike from New Zealand to Scotland in a Ground Effect Tardis:

The Singapore Airlines policy that the bike needs to be "packed in a hardside bicycle case, a cardboard, or a padded protective case that is designed for transportation" gave me pause. Especially the "Bicycles packed in a plastic bag or packed in a soft non-padded case will not be accepted" part:

Has anyone had any experience travelling with a Ground Effect Tardis on Singapore Airlines?
